Trip to Perth Zoo

It was the second last day of 2009 and what a better way to end the year but with a ripper day out at Perth Zoo, with me old mates Lilly n' Jacky Rissole and their mob.

Our first section was the aussie bit, and here is our own little aussie Harrison.

Here's Harrison having a chat with a kangaroo, the roo was saying something like 'You talking to me!... you talking to me!'

An Emu.

Here's me favourite little animal, a ripper Tazzie Devil.

And here is a mob of Numbats.....

Ain't they a beaut little rat hay, okay it's a Numbat but their not much bigger then a rat.

One of these are cute, cuddly, pretty and loves a good fight, the other is a nutbat!

What a bunch of wombats.

Harrison with a huge Elephant in the background, this is in the African area (my favourite section of the zoo).

Hay this fella's face rings a bell.....'Dad is that YOU'.

Two African rhinos having a rest come to thing of it, they might have a job on the council!

Here's a Girafe and a zebra having a chat.

And here's the Girafe having a feed.... Hay by the way did you hear the one about the Girafe that went into a bar for a drink, and the Barman said ' hay mate why the long face' ha,ha.... sorry.

And here is Sarah trying to get her hand bitten off by a Perentie, which is a big lizard that lives in the central Aussie Desert. If you look real hard you can see it's little head, just away from Sarah's hand.

The Zoo's Carousel.

Here's Sarah and Harrison on the Carousel at the Zoo, Sarah wasn't to impressed but Harry loved it.

Jacko on his horse on the Carousel can't wait this I use this photo at his 21st, poor little sod. But that was our trip around Perth Zoo with our best mates Lilly,Jacky,Lachlan and Tyson. And to top it off we had a ripper day weather wise, so all round a beaut day out.

Christmas '09

Christmas '09

Well it's that time of year again when the kiddies get all dressed up as mini Elves, and the oldies have just a few too many coldies. Yes it's Christmas time again (doesn't it come around quicker each year!) Here are three of Santa's little helpers Oscar, Harrison and Sarah. Can you spot the new addition to the mob?

That's right.... after nine years on top of the Sandgropers Christmas tree, our old Angel took some of her long service leave and had a nice little break. And her replacement Angel was a home-made (in kindergarden) one from Harrison, now isn't it a real little ripper. Now it was sad to see old Angel Dorothy taking a rest, but could you ask for a better replacement then Angel Dora!

As the sun rose on our Chrisie morning the kiddies sat nice and very patient, then when we said 'okay go for it' all hell broke loose!

It wasn't just Angel Dora's first Christmas with us, but also the little fellas first, And didn't little Chase just love getting into the paper mess..... 'stuff the pressies give me the PAPER!!! What are you looking at"!

And here is Santa's little Elve Oscar!

And Sarah with some of her pressies.... lucky little bugger.

Harrison with a truck he received.

Jacko with a meccano car set that santa took the time to send him..... 'Thanks Santa, Thanks Santa' yelled Jacko on Chrisie Day, like I said before that fat fella in the suit get's all the credit hay!

Two Chrisie Elves....Big Boff Elve and Little Elve Sarah.

And ofcause what is Big Boff Elve's favourit food .... CHOCCIES!!!!

And after spending all that time wrapping all those pressies up, what are you left with? You got it.... A kiddies Paradise!

Last trip to the beach in '09

Well with the day going into the 40's I thought if we hit the beach in the morning, then we can hit the road before the sun hit's to hard. And so i packed the commodore with four kiddies, you don't see Oscar in this photo as he wasn't in the mood for the beach. And was giving my arm a good shake to tell me so, I knew it was not a good idea to let them watch Jaws on telly last night!

But he did come around well at least he sat on the sand, no water dwelling water baby here that's for sure, just a 100% Sandgroper!

But the other shark biscuits were well in their element, as they just love a splash.

Here's little braveheart Harrison showing how big and brave he is, but fairdinkum the first sign of a wave and he's off quicker then a box of prawns in the sun!

But today their was no chance of Oscar getting his little freckle wet, well not until the old man caught him and in he went. We can't show those photos as if they were to get out, then I might have to answer to the RSPCA!
